Hyde Park is one of Austin’s older, centrally located in the environment, and proximity to the University of Texas made him popular with the staff of UT. Since part of the intention Webber had a suite with a permanent home for his father 68 years old when he was in town, it seemed right area. David Webber, AIA, from a company based in Austin Webber + Studio, jokes that the house in Austin’s Hyde Park neighborhood that he designed for himself and Ransom Baldasare, business and life partner, is really just like everyone else. “It has everything anyone asks when they’re looking for a new home: five bedrooms, three and a half baths, kitchen open to living and dining area, where guest-programming was fairly mediocre.” What Webber says may be true, but the reason he could say with a smile is because he knows that apart from this program, the house was not at all unusual.
