Scottsdale Healthcare’s New Greenbaum Specialty Hospital

Scottsdale Healthcare’s new Greenbaum Specialty Hospital, located on the campus Osborn, was designed to respond to outpatient care and short-term needs of patients and physicians in a healing environment, convenient. Several key factors have been achieved in the new ground facilities to provide the efficiency of this heavily populated area. One of the strategic directions that influenced the initial design was a licensing issue that prevented the prompt payment by a third party and regulatory agencies. To facilitate reimbursement policies, a specialty hospital license was secured, thus, directing the 60,000 SF facility’s plan. The new building includes twelve operating rooms, PACU, pre-op, twenty-six 72-hour recovery beds, hospital and individual department administration, lobby, and public spaces. Meetings with area residents, merchant groups, and facility users determined the initial design direction. Keeping in character with Old Town Scottsdale, the design incorporates the same building materials and pedestrian accents to provide a gateway to the campus while providing consistency with the downtown area.
